Walls and the top coping stones can offer a unique challenge. Modern, manmade coping stones usually are a concrete centre with a buff-coloured soft-stone exterior.
This soft stone is known for being susceptible to erosion from harsh power-washing; the sharp edges of the stones chip and fall away.

We offer various alternatives to regular power washing.
Hand cleaning
using an acidic cleaning agent, basically a bucket of specialist cleaning solution, a stiff brush & good old-fashioned elbow grease. We gently scrub the stone, removing the years of built-up grime and green/black algae.
Gentle, superheated steam
extremely hot steam has an amazing cleaning effect on exterior stone. Steam, as it exits, the lance creates millions of micro-explosions at a molecular level; these minute explosions destroy the dirt particles on the stone.
A bio-wash,
using an environmentally safe cleaning agent. This is a slow long-term solution for coping stones that suffer from organic staining (usually showing themselves as black spots or black staining). We give the surface a light cleaning and then spray the solution onto the surface; slowly, over the coming weeks, the stones naturally clean.
This is a residual cleaner that stays active within the stone and protects the surface from future re-soiling.
For natural stone copings, we can offer a traditional power-wash clean that gives great results.
