A new approach to professional driveway cleaning
Many homeowners call us not only because their drive looks dirty but because it has a problem with Moss & weeds.
Until now, there has been only one solution, to powerwash the drive and blast away the weeds & moss. Unfortunately, this can create a great deal of mess; the soiled water can block your drains, flood your flowerbeds and run onto the road or neighbours' drive. The tool required to remove weeds & moss can undermine the sets causing settling and dips in the drive, it also removes the joint sand leaving the potential for loose sets and movement.
We needed a better solution, and our search took us to Germany, where drive cleaning is done very differently, and we believe much more effective. (Trust the Germans to design the perfect machine to correctly clean the brick sets used on many British drives).
The investment of £18000 in 4 variations of these machines means we can clean any type of drive.
3 steps to effective drive cleaning.
Step 1
A treatment of specialist weed & moss killer is applied to the drive; this pet & child safe treatment effectively kills the roots of the weeds & moss.
After spraying the visible foliage, It takes 48hrs for the active ingredient to travel from the leaf to the roots; after 48hrs we can remove the top visible weed growth safe in the knowledge the weed roots will die away.

Step 2
Using either the German Westerman or Adler equipment, we completely remove the moss & weeds. The Westermann/Adler machines are petrol-driven powered brushes that effectively dry brushes the moss and weeds off the drive; they remove the toughest weeds. Using no water, they do not create the problems normally associated with traditional power-washing.
Once brushed, we can easily sweep up the dry debris and dispose of it in your brown recycling bin or bag it up and take it away.
This leaves your drive totally moss & weed free. Often this is all your drive needs; it will look amazingly cleaner, but if your drive does need a light power wash, it is much easier and uses much less water (all the dirt, moss & weeds have already been removed).
Step 3
The moss/weed killer treatment will have killed all the moss & weeds on your drive, but new moss and weeds will slowly start to appear over the coming months if you do nothing, your drive in 18 months - 2yrs will be just as bad as it is today.
